I am starting up a regular gathering, to meet at my home in Finchley, North London. The spirit of these gatherings will be community, sharing and connection in which we will support each other to find the truth at the heart of our lives.
As Keats wrote - "Beauty is Truth, and Truth is Beauty"
To speak the truth, to embrace the truth...that is beauty. This will be a sacred space where all will be welcome to bring whatever they wish to share and explore. Inevitably, this will consist in great deal of the grist of life, the pain, the fears, the limitations...the challenges that we all face in our lives. No parts of us, however ghastly we may judge them, are unacceptable. But we will also share in a celebration of all that is beautiful and exquisite. Together we will share, speaking and listening in turn, receiving with vulnerability the wisdom of insight from others.
Many people, especially those newly beckoned to the pursuit of the spiritual life, are without a like minded community of people who they may join with in relationship. When giving up the old life, the old ways that have become no longer tenable, there may be a period of feeling isolated, facing mountains to climb, alone. Together we will be uplifted, inspired and empowered. This is a place where you can work to find clarity, direction and purpose.
"When two or more are gathered in my name, I shall be there with you"
The words of Jesus speak of the power inherent in the meeting of a group of people who come together with the intent of connecting into the deep wisdom of life which brings with it transformation, peace and love.
The format of these gatherings will be left to the flow of life. Certainly it will be an informal setting, with much of the time spent engaging verbally, but also there will be time for sitting quietly, breathing or in meditation. At times it may be appropriate to do some physical movement, yoga or even hands on healing. Without doubt, time will bring the conception and development of new ways and things.
I will be integrating into these gatherings the powerfully transformative light and teachings of the Emerald Heart. Though the format will be fluid, just being present within this powerful light, with openness, will begin to bring about change.
The only condition is that you come with an open heart, willing to share in the truth of yourself and others, and that you maintain respect and reverence at all times.
After some delay, the first meeting is to take place on Wednesday 26th January 2011 at 7pm and will run for about 2 hours. I am scheduling the gatherings at weekly intervals initially, that's every Wednesday at 7pm, and will see how things go from there. If there is the interest I many run additional groups. Thanks to the flexibility in my working life, I am able to accommodate a change to this programme, should I find that a majority of people prefer an alternative meeting time. Please feel free to give me feedback and make suggestions for how it would best work for you.

There is free, local residential parking. Prior booking is necessary though you may pay on arrival. The cost is £10. I have capacity for up to 8 people at a time, and will run with a minimum of 3. You will soon be able to find me on meetup.com where you may also book yourself a place.
